first off no i did not hydrolock my engine.
i opened my hood just to see and i noticed some water near the passenger side by the windshield washer fluid area. so i shut the hood completely and let water run down on the hood just to see if there was water getting inside incase of rain. so after i hosed down the whole hood i waited for the water to stop dripping and opened the hood
....there was a good amount of water on the pass side but completely dry on driver. but i also noticed a hole where there was alot of water(maybe a drain?). but everything on that side looks covered and non electric so i guess its just the way is?

so its NOT in your engine..
its in your ENGINE BAY... which is normal.. the seals that sit around the hood may have been torn or arent sitting proeprly letting water come in and sit. I use to have some as well.. itll dry off when the engine warms uup and you drive for a while

Its not like a trunk, no matter how much you seal it, the whole bottom of the engine bay is open. Hitting one little puddle will get water up there too. Not to mention when your driving in the rain water is going through the grill and then the fan comes on and sprays the water everywhere. Your looking to much into this.
