Customer had a few options as far as piping setup but he chose the reverse Y pipe setup. Tesh worked on it for a few.......more pics to come when completed.

Piping still has to be welded up, wastegate welded, oil return, and some other things........the car's in the begining stages but feed pipe is looking good. Housing has to be reclocked too.

I'll try to keep this thread updated.

Thanks Bish. Yea I was thinkin about getting it done the same way Reverse Y pipe style, and fabricate the piping so that i can keep my fog lights. I want more power, but it dosent have to be balls to the wall lol. BTW will installing a turbocharger cause my SES light to come on? 2000 maxx Cali spec

Power gains depends on the owner and how much boost he wants to make......the car will be in the mid 300s for sure on low boost and can be in the low 400s with a good tune and higher boost.

The owner is going to wrap the pipes, but usually alot of turbo maximas don't really have a problem running the pipes close to the gearbox.

You got me there, if I had to make a guess I would say to help prevent long term rusting.

Yeh these pipes sit about 1.5 inches lower than the crossmember.......the customer didn't care too much for the lost ground clearance since the car isnt very low at all.

yeh......I been trying to tell people that turboing a maxima isn't that hard, but all you really need is some know how, a welder, and some parts. I think the only thing left to do is the FMIC setup. Tricky thing is that the owner doesn't want too much piping visible from on top. Fogs will be retained.

If you are that worried about it pull your bulb. You can get a ses for farting in the car does that mean you wont fart? Come on man its not that serious. You should ask real questions like is it going to blow up. Now thats still left to be seen .

Never said you know nothing. Easy to get around for you and me but maybe its something that worries him. Some people just like their cars to be right. Not saying this isn't but he just wanted to know if the light will be off or on. You could have said "Hey, you know there are ways around that if thats all your worried about"

Pulling the bulb does not help the inspection problem so that was really no help.

Lease is up and they building owner wanted an increase (big increase) in rent that isn't possible at this time, everyone is struggling as it is. Shop may move to a new location that is smaller but nothing is solid as yet.

Thx bro yea i do have a connect 4 inspections. Its just that when i got the car it was on and i hated seeing it every damn day.. So i fixxed all the problems when eva i had time.. New TB, all 6 ignition coils and O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2. Now my instrument cluster looks so much better without the lil annoyin yellow light.:D

C here is the pic.. I have the forward Y setup. It's a difference in length. The forward Y is almost half the length of the reverse y.. My piping is close to the tranny and never had an issue with heat.

This is a diagram of the reverse y pipe which is roughly 6ft of pipe compared to the forward y which is 3ft of pipe. The reverse Y is easier to fab. As you see from the diagram all your doing is cutting the pipe before the flex pipe and reversing it to the front and up by the battery... So either or will work..

Tru, that's good. I was trying to figure out what I will need to do to make this intercooler piping work. It's from my friends eclipse. Right off the bat I know I need a pipe with a bov flange. I guess the only way for me to get this thing on there is to remove the bumper and see what's up. Just outa curiosity, this intercooler and piping is from ebay and it's less than 2.5". Is it worth my time putting it on? I thought it was a good idea because it would keep the air cooler but after reading your sc charge piping thread I don't know if I would make things better or worse. Thanks for your help.
