My dad's 08 Xterra stolen from Brooklyn, help!

Hello all,

After speaking with my dad on Thursday night I convinced him to let me take his new 08 Xterra (purchased in Aug) with 5,000 mi to Brooklyn on Friday returning Sat for a concert. I parked in my friend's neighborhood over on Shore Rd and 99th St. Sat around noon went to look for the car and it was gone. Heartbroken, sick feeling to my stomach. My dad already bought the car outright and has little theft insurance so he's out about 20,000+

Since I don't live in NY I'm asking for help everywhere I can think of. I've already filed the report with the police, but extra eyes on the lookout never hurt! Here's the info:

08 2WD Xterra, charc grey, 5000 mi, MA 61C Z36 (doubt the plates are still on it), it says Kelly in white on the back as that's the dealership he bought it from, has tow hitch and extra front grills, and the right rear mud flap is broken from hitting a snow pile (but barely cracked) but maybe you can spot it! It could be in pieces in Jersey, Bronx, under the highway etc but basically I owe my dad a new Xterra so any of the pieces back would be helpful :)

no coverage on fire/theft. We live in a very quiet neighborhood in MA and he doesn't ever really drive it...stays in the driveway most of the time!

wow and 08 sure it was stolen ... sure it was stolen check at the impounds and wait tell it come up google nyc impounds

Yes, we went to the impounds, called all of them. The 68 precinct said that they checked the logs and no Xterra's with MA plates were impounded on Fri/Sat. Hopefully the thieves left it somewhere and it will eventually be impounded so we can get it back. Thanks for the advice :)

damn sorry to here that i thought from 99 and up you couldnt steal nissan because of the chip they had in the key?but anyway i'll be on the look out got a big day ahead of me gotta go to bx to pick up family then drop em off in nj and hit ikea up in red hook bk so i'll be on the look out 4 ya good luck finding it tho shit sux

Yea..you can still steal a car with an immobilizer chip...if they really want it, they can. You can always tow a car anyways..

holy shit, i saw an Xterra today (not sure what yr) with a busted rear pass window taped up today the colors was like a dark gray...didn't see the plates tho but some African American was driving...i was crossing the street from re-parking my car cuz it was alternate side today....I'm in bk on mcdonald and ave x...it was a younger dude....shit i hope it was not your car.

^hmm...maybe he was...but he had very dark skin...looked more black then caribbean or european..
and he a yankees hat on too....but i didn't get a good look either the plate. i really hope he finds this car cuz i hate fuckers that mess with other ppl's shit
