Whats that smell

WTF. I got into the 97 gxe (bone stock) let the car warm up and then turned on the heat. After the heat was goin for about a min or two I noticed a rank smell in the car like somebody stepped in some shit and tracked it in the car. I stepped out examined my shoes re entered that car and turned off the climate control and the smell went away. Anybody experience this b4 ina 4th gen? If so what was it?

check the cabin filter if you have one....i know that happened to me in my sentra and it was the cabin filter needed to be changed.

behind ur glove box...well thats where it is in a sentra. you can get one at strauss or pepboys for really cheap if someone does it for you they charge 30 bucks but i think its only 13 bucks..

omg, 4th gen's don't have cabin filters.

They sell special stuff at autoparts stores that kill the mold that builds up on the evaporator core. Or someone could poured some nasty shit down your hood cowl vents if you have enemies, got any enemies? It's probably just mold on the evaporator core though. My 95 smells like stank ass pussy when it sit's in the sun for a few days

yo go buy a can of lysol for mold and mildew...turn ur a/c or heat on to full blast and make it come out the vents only....now take the can and sray it in the vents thats sittin on top of the dash board where the dashboard and the bottom of ur front window meets....there are two long vents push that shit out full blast and spray most of it in there...both sides...guaranteed to fix ur problem
