WTB: 3.5 Engine

my boy has an 03 maxima. he has the timing chain noise/problem and looking to swap out his 3.5. if the 3.5 is comming from an 04+, he'll need the harness also.
let me kno what you have availabel.

Can't he just reuse everything from his lower intake manifold up and everything will be somplete drop it.

^well he has the 03, but since those engines burn oil and that chain issue, he wants a 3.5 from another year. so wouldnt he need the harness also.

just to let u know the 04's SOME also have the timing chain issue... i think 05 you should be good but its not only max's that carry the 3.5 theres alot more nissans just if u didn't know bro

He selling b/c he got rid of his 4th gen and he's not getting another max right now for the swap so he selling it. No the junkyard that he got it from said it ran good.

u don't need diff harness only thing i can think of is egr. just use the 03 IM.

its actually the tensioner if u go to maxima.org in the 6th gen section a dude actually posted wat goes wrong and if u look at the homepage u could c the inside of the motor the timing chain goes around and theres 2 arms that guide it .....on the end of the arms theres a lil plastic piece that breaks off and there goes ur rattle ......this is my understanding of it ... members who have more knowledge can post ...i think this is wat happens
