Hello, I got my blower in and when I get to about 3-3.5k rpm the motor will skip a beat. I'm accelerating and then it feels as if though I let go of the gas for a split second. Anyone know what is going on?

Spark plugs are new ngk coppers one step colder gapped to .035
spark plugs :33:

The fuel is stock, just using the fmu (bish u said I would be fine lol) and I've got a vafc2 but I've got a full variable intake with stock de-k injectors and everything and intercooler so I wanted to hold off on a dyno tune till I get more shit on the whip. BTW it's got a 2.87" pulley and using mostly shell 93. I was thinking of even maybe gettin larger injectors but them shits is money and I'm a poor college kid lol so maybe the de-k injectors and fmu will do?
fuel?

Ya man, it kinda feels like that for a split second.

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it. BTW I surprised the hell out of what ended up being a stage 2 sti. lmao I thought I was gonna get crapped on and I thought it was stock. Can't wait to get this thing farther along and tuned.

could be fuel or spark

do you have a wideband?
what disc in the fmu?

you might just need a lil street tune, im tuning a car tomorrow night if you want to meet up I can check your tune out, but you need a wideband.

Do you have a wideband ? If not, get 1. You might be either going to rich or lean At that time..

I don't know what disc is in the FMU. I have no wideband. I'd come by but if I have no wideband then you won't be able to help me, right? I'm thinking a coil is crapping out.

^ right

I remember when I was SCed I had to iron out the tune cause it would go lean around 3 - 3.5 k and bog and shit I had to play with the fuel a bit

I was thinking about getting this wideband: http://www.aemelectronics.com/wideband-air-fuel-uego-gauge-kit-745?osCsid=ojdp1f0n1icd1bstahnogf0816
This is good right?

you have the 2.87 pulley, are you using the Z32 maf, not sure if DE-K injectors are suffice, you might wanna try 370cc...for some reason, good luck perhaps, i never had these issues when i was S/C'ed, bolt it on and go.

I've got a stock VQ30DE but sitting in a box I have a complete DE-K VI lower, upper, injectors, etc. Should I bother with putting on the '00VI or should I stick with the stock aluminum intake manifold and just get larger injectors?

go oovi, top feed rail goes with that then you can get 350z rev up injectors. I think those are close to 370cc

Thanks, how much does a used set run? I'm off to the store to get a breather filter for the front valve cover which I currently just plugged.

Never plug that, better leave it open than plug, the crank case needs to breathe.

Those injectors are about $120 - $160 a set used. Depending on what kinda deal you can strike up.

Yea, I did it just when I put the sc on. Didn't know better. I got tired of poping the hood after driving and letting the air out by pulling out the dipstick. I traded a friend $5 for a $12 pep boys gift card, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it there. Now that I have the filter on there, wow, it drives so much better. I've bought one of those ebay catch-cans off a friend but I need to get a T-fitting to install it. I've read that I should put steel wool or something similar to help keep the oil in the can since it doesn't have baffles. I really want to get this 00VI and intercooler on. That injector price is in my budget. Would I have to send them out for cleaning and all that good stuff before installing them?
